leather and suede. Rust-Oleum recommends testing the product in an inconspicuous area before
treating the entire surface.
Q. Does Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric dry clear?
A. Yes, Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric dries Crystal Clear. It does not change the
appearance or feel of the item.
Q. How do you apply Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric?
A. NeverWet Outdoor Fabric is applied in a single step using a trigger spray application. NeverWet
Outdoor Fabric should be applied outdoors, in a well ventilated area. Be cautious when applying,
and do not wear the item during application. Spray the entire surface of the object being treated; ensuring the fabric
is thoroughly coated without soaking. NeverWet Outdoor Fabric dries in 4-8 hours, however for best repellency
effects we recommend drying 24 hours before exposing item to water.
Q. How does Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric Work?
A. NeverWet Outdoor Fabric penetrates surfaces to form a superhydrophobic protective barrier around the fabric
fibers. Treated items are protected from damage caused by water. Items treated with NeverWet Outdoor Fabric are
completely breathable with no change in the original feel of the fabric.
Q. What are the recommended uses for Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric?
A. Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric can be used on boots, shoes, hats, gloves, coats and jackets, snow pants,
outdoor apparel, camping gear, grill covers, tablecloths, patio cushions and more.
Q. What special preparation is required?
A. Remove dirt and debris from area to be treated. Items to be treated should be clean and dry. New items should
be laundered first to remove any oils left from the manufacturing process. Cover and mask off areas to avoid
overspray if necessary.
Q. How long will Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric treatment last?
A. As with other waterproofers, NeverWet is a temporary treatment. Environmental conditions will affect the
longevity of the Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric treatment. Abrasion is the leading cause of reduction in the
treatment’s life. NeverWet Outdoor Fabric can be reapplied as repellency begins to decrease.
Q. Can Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric be used on surfaces that are continuously submerged?
A. The sheer pressure of water when continuously submerged will eventually penetrate into the fabric. For this
reason the product is not recommend for surfaces that are continuously submerged.
Q. Can Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric be reapplied?
A. If the properties are diminished, Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric can easily and quickly be reapplied.
Q. How many square feet will a bottle of Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric cover?
A. The square footage will be dependent on the type of fabric. One trigger bottle will cover approximately 20 – 60
square feet. 60 sq ft on smooth/light fabrics & 20 sq ft on textured/heavy fabrics
